My Dad met my Mum during the early 1940's while he was on leave from the Navy during the war.

They kept in touch while he was away at sea and got engaged just after the war ended.

On the 24th May 1947 they were married at Bedfont church, near where they both lived.

On the 24th May 2017 I took my parents back to the church and took their photograph where they once both stood 70 years earlier.

A day to remember for all of us.
